Questions

Everything people ask us.

If something isn't covered here, ask us directly — we would rather answer before you order than after.

Finding a part

How is this different from an ordinary parts website?

An ordinary parts site sells from a known list of stock it already holds. We do the opposite: you tell us what you need, and a national network of godowns goes looking for it. That is why we can supply components that appear in no catalogue anywhere.

What if the part isn't listed?

That is the normal case here, not an error. Describe the part or photograph the old one and we search anyway. Roughly speaking, if it exists somewhere in the network you will get it.

Do you supply parts for vehicles no longer sold in India?

Yes, and that is where we are strongest. Chevrolet stopped selling here in 2017 and Ford stopped manufacturing in 2021, leaving roughly 1 million vehicles whose owners struggle to source parts through official channels. Those requests are exactly what our network exists for.

How long does it take?

Common parts for current vehicles are usually found the same day, often within a few hours. Older or discontinued models take longer because somebody has to physically search shelving that was never catalogued. Genuinely rare components can take weeks. We show you what is happening rather than leaving you waiting in silence.

What happens if nobody has it?

We tell you honestly and show how many godowns were checked. You can then leave the request open indefinitely at no cost, or cancel it. An open request has no timer and never expires — when a godown takes in new stock or dismantles a vehicle, they can pick it up months later and you are notified.

Condition and price

What do the grades mean?

New is sealed and factory packed. Grade A is near new with no visible marks. Grade B has light scuffing and is fully functional. Grade C has visible wear and is tested working. Every grade is a working part — a grade describes appearance and service life, not whether it functions.

How do you decide the price?

Prices are set centrally by SPARRAPS and are the same for everyone. New parts are priced at MRP; each used grade sits a fixed percentage below that. Nobody bids, nobody negotiates, and the godown supplying your part has no say in what you pay.

What if you find a different grade to the one I asked for?

The godown photographs what they actually have and declares its real grade. The price moves to that grade's tier automatically — up for a better part, down for a worse one — and you accept or decline at the new price. Nothing is charged either way.

Can I see the part before I pay?

Always. Whoever finds it photographs it from four angles on a plain background and declares its condition. You are approving that specific component, not a catalogue image of something similar. Payment happens only after you accept.

Cover, returns and refunds

Can I return a used part after fitting it?

Yes. A used part only reveals its condition once it is fitted, so cover does not end at delivery. If it fails when your mechanic installs it, we source a replacement at no further cost.

Can I return a new part after opening the box?

No. Once a new part's box is opened it can no longer be sold as new, so a refund requires the box unopened and intact. Check the part number on the label before opening. If a new part fails later, that is the manufacturer's warranty and is claimed directly with them.

What if it isn't what the photographs showed?

Full refund, on every grade. You approved a specific set of photographs of a specific component; if something else arrives, that is our failure and we carry it.

Why does every parcel need a SPARRAPS label?

The label carries a unique code that ties the physical parcel to your request. Without it there is no way to identify what came back, so a return cannot be processed. Every partner is supplied with labels by us.

How the business works

Who am I actually buying from?

SPARRAPS. We operate a network of partner godowns, but your relationship is with us — we set the price, we carry the guarantee, and we handle any complaint. The parcel arrives with a SPARRAPS label, not a godown's name.

Why can't I see reviews or seller ratings?

Ratings on this platform are private to us and the supplying partner. They exist to manage quality and routing, not as public social proof. It means our guarantee has to be real, because there are no reviews to hide behind.

Can I contact the godown that has my part?

No, and they cannot contact you. That is deliberate. You are buying from SPARRAPS, so support, returns and refunds all run through us rather than through a shop you would otherwise have to chase yourself.

I run a godown. How do I join?

Register your business, upload verification documents, choose a plan and pay a refundable deposit. After that, requests come to you — you never list stock or catalogue your shelves. The partner programme page explains the whole loop.
